There are a lot of people talking about how awful this school year is going to be and how nobody wants it to start off this way...
I'm not one of those people. I see this as a fantastic opportunity to help my children to become even better humans. I actually think distance learning rocks!
I'm not sure if I'm ready for the complete responsibility of home schooling yet, but I'm definitely very excited to be able to teach them things I've never had the time or energy to teach them like all those real life skills that they will need as they transition into men.
Plus, I'm looking forward to teaching them things they really want to learn like cooking, building, gardening, coding, etc. Between my husband and myself, we have a myriad of very valuable skills that we can pass on to them that we may never have gotten around to previously.
Yes, it will be a financial hardship for me to stop working and focus my energy on them, but it could also be the greatest learning experience my boys will ever have!!! They've already given me a list of 10 items each that they would like to learn, so I think they will enjoy this type of learning as well.
I love them so much and am REALLY grateful to have this special year with them.
