I just recently watched this movie called "Living The Change" and found it really interesting to see all the things that people are doing in New Zealand to make change.
I've been thinking about garbage and waste a lot lately! Everytime I throw something into the trash, I wonder where it will end up, if I could compost it in my new Subpod that is on the way, or how I could stop using it.
This movie really highlighted that just because something is out of sight and out of mind, doesn't mean that it's gone away. It will be wind up in a garbage pile SOMEWHERE!
Something else that this highlighted for me was solar energy...I really love the idea of solar energy, but I know that someday the panels will be "spent" and could become toxic waste in a pile SOMEWHERE!
That's why Reduce comes before Reuse, which comes before Recycle. That's the order we need to do things in! Let's be the change we wish to see in the world. 🌎💚🌎💚🌎💚
P.S. - Fun fact about me...I used to work at the recycling center on the campus where I went to Junior College. It was a dirty job, but somebody had to do it. 🤣🌎🤣
