This photo was taken in February of 2021 in Waldport, Oregon. According to Greek mythology, Gaia is the personification of mother earth and is a name that has always held a special place in my heart. I once even had a dog named Gaia! I have such an incredible reverence for this earth and the amazing wildlife and beauty that are abundant here.⠀
⠀
The bluff on the left side of this photo has two homes side by side that were built back in 1935. We bought one of them back in February of 2021 (on National Unicorn Day) and named it Gaia's Point!⠀
⠀
I spent more than a month in Waldport preparing this home for use as a vacation rental. It really is the most magical place I've ever had the pleasure of staying, not to mention owning. Eagles, osprey, herons, and seals are a common site in this place that the locals refer to as Alsea Bay Jaws. ⠀
⠀
This happens to be the spot where the Alsea River meets the ocean and is a great place for fishing and crabbing. There is a lot of activity there and it proved to be a wildlife photographer's paradise! I love that I get to share this amazing place with others who will appreciate the location and maybe even decide to keep coming back every year.⠀
