A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST
This photo was taken in January of 2012 at Sand Harbor in Lake Tahoe. My husband and I had taken our boys there to celebrate his 35th birthday.
Because it was January, it was very cold and the beach was basically deserted. It's a rare sight to see here during the summer months. (This beach usually fills up with people by 10:30 a.m. and they close the parking lot.)
There were no boats on the water and there was almost no wind at all, giving you the ability to see through the crystal clear water to the sand and boulders below.
Again, I was in the right place at the right time because there also happened to be some amazing cloud formations in the sky. I couldn't have picked a better day to photograph this spot if I'd tried.
We visit this beach quite often, because it happens to be the best one in the area (in our opinion). Check it out for yourself! I'm sure you'll love it as much as we do.

I created this piece as a solution to one of my most obnoxious problems, a messy bathroom. I prefer to keep my bathroom clean, but the amount of jewelry I have makes it difficult. I've had many jewelry boxes over the years, but none that really satisfied my needs. I love that I don't have to look at the clutter of all my jewelry, it's not taking up space on my counter, and the photograph provides a serene feeling as I get ready every morning.
