This photo was taken in April of 2007 at the Discovery Kingdom Butterfly Habitat in Vallejo California. My first born was just three months old and I had no idea of the important transformation into motherhood I had just begun.

I created this piece as a solution to one of my most obnoxious problems, a messy bathroom. I prefer to keep my bathroom clean, but the amount of jewelry I have makes it difficult. I've had many jewelry boxes over the years, but none that really satisfied my needs. I love that I don't have to look at the clutter of all my jewelry, it's not taking up space on my counter, and the photograph provides a serene feeling as I get ready every morning.
